I love this stuff! Birds are inspirational and they have inspired Ms Karl to create beautiful works.out of paint used well. There are mainly two views of birds here, close up and far away. Her takes on birds in numbers at a distance are beautiful and are created with a minimalist use of paint that evokes individual birds even at a point where they are usually just a flock.
The bird close ups are made with flowing generally dark paint and small detailed work on the faces and beaks. The flow and energy of birds is present in every one of these works..The images are striking with a flowing impression rather than feather by feather detail. As I said at the beginning I love this stuff.
